Catch-ups and completion - guitarists part four
Last Friday's programme concluded my series about guitarists. I should clarify that this was never intended to be a definitive list of great players - merely a definitive list of my favourites, as represented on my CD shelves. I know that for many people there are glaring omissions in my choices but the point is that they are my choices. As usual, for further information about any of these tracks, please get in touch and I will be only too happy to give you chapter and verse!

Another random selection
This week was unthemed - it was just a bunch of favourites pulled out more or less at random, but nevertheless, I hope you found it to be a fairly balanced show. We'll be returning to the guitars again next week. Having got as far as 'R', I now have discovered yet another bunch of players that I've managed to miss, so I've had to back track a lttle. Still, nobody's perfect eh? Incidentally, my spell checker insists that there is no such word as 'unthemed' an suggests that I might mean 'Gunther'
I just thought Id mention it...

Que Belo Castelo in Hayle
For those of you who wish to see Voltarol putting his money where his mouth is, why not come along to The Cornish Arms, Commercial Road, Hayle on Saturday night? Qe Belo Castelo are playing an informal session from 9 p. m. onwards . We will be a four piece line up for this evening as our flute player is away at the moment but Dan Hughes has now joined us full time and his clarinet will be well to the fore. There may well also be some guest sitters-in.... see you there then.
Guitarists part 4
Well - here's the playlist for last Friday's show. I mentioned that I'd previously played a version of 'Vera Cruz' on an earlier show but then had a senior moment and couldn't remember which version it was. A quick check of my own postings reminded me that it was of course the Larry Coryell version.

Wails of the unexpected
Here are the details of last Friday's show. I slipped one in at the last minute - that's the Que Belo Castelo track - and I might have its position in the running order a bit wrong, so I apologise if that is the case. Things in the Voltarol household are finally beginning to slow down a bit so if all goes according to plan there will be a new posting here soon that isn't just a set list...
